Refusing to fulfill the landlord's duty to repair
Report of Unresolved Habitability Issues and Unresponsive Management at The Quadrant Hotel Auckland

Dear Government Office,

I am writing to report an ongoing, unresolved issue at the Quadrant Hotel Auckland, where I currently reside as a tenant. My name is [Your Name], and I am in possession of a six-month lease for room 809, which was signed on May 16th, 2023.

From the onset of my tenancy, I have been experiencing a persistent problem with a leaking ceiling in the bathroom of my unit. Despite my numerous attempts to alert the hotel management about this issue, my concerns have been met with indifference and, sadly, no action has been taken to rectify this problem.

The manager with whom I have had the most contact is named Harpreet. Despite my repeated pleas for assistance and action to be taken, Harpreet's response has been dismissive and, regrettably, arrogant.

The ongoing negligence towards this problem has not only resulted in physical discomfort but also led to significant distress, causing nerve exhaustion and sleep difficulties. This scenario, coupled with the hotel management's unresponsiveness, has drastically affected my quality of life and well-being.

In light of the hotel's failure to address and rectify this pressing habitability issue, I am reaching out to your office for assistance in changing another room in this hotel.
