PATTERN DIGITAL / SATURN 6 / GOPHER
Here are some facts openly available to the public that naturally would have those people who have dealt with Gopher and Saturn 6 question the business purchasing it.

Edward Wright is a director of Pattern Digital who happens to also be a director at Working Capital.
BJ Sveistrup was a director of Gopher and then a manager of sorts at Saturn 6 and has just been appointed National Sales Manager at Working Capital.
Working Capital are connected also to C & C Strategic who was the appointed receiver of Gopher.
Edward Clark Dickie (ECD Legal) is the registered address of Saturn 6 who happens to also be shareholders of Pattern Digital.

Here are some more facts...

Gopher / Saturn 6 ignored legal cancellation of contracts (in accordance with their own terms and conditions) from multiple customers even though they were received by BJ Sveistrup.

Customers were told by Richard Gilbert (who worked at Gopher, then Saturn 6 then Pattern Digital) that they must pay a 60% cancellation fee (a magical number made up to squeeze any remaining revenue from the customer)

Saturn 6 then continued to charge their credit cards outside cancellation of contract and without authorisation (which is fraud)

Rob Snow, Richard Gilbert, BJ Sveistrup, Edward Wright & the new "genuine" purchaser Rowan Schaaf & CEO Pattern Digital Limited where all aware of the cancellations, unauthorised credit card charges and requests for refunds, but, surprise surprise no communication with customers that are left thousands of dollars out of pocket.

From what I gather there is light at the end of the tunnel, for any customers ripped off by gopher, saturn 6 and now pattern digital, contact the SFO (Serious Fraud Office) as i believe they are gathering info and i sure would be interested in hearing from you!

Thanks for the update. Dealing with these guys is like playing Wack the Mole Game. They keep popping up with their scam business model under different names.

Great for putting all those people names and business names. Google search will love it and hopefully it helps other people who do web searches before dealing with these clowns.

@swayne67 - I've already responded to your previous complaint with a genuine offer to help any customer that has been disaffected by our asset purchase of Saturn 6 but I did not receive a reply. There are a number of factual inaccuracies in your post, however cutting to the chase, our company has been setup to help small companies grow, if they've come across to us in contracts that don't fit their budgets then we will adjust or even cancel them without any additional fees.

HI Rowan, Can you ask your 'sales guy' with the smooth english accent to stop bullshitting customers. Not sure you know what you have brought into but a word of advice, if you're going to turn this company around then the old gopher sales tactics need to go out the door along with the dodgy sales guys that are only interested in lining their own back pocket. This is all wearing very thin, i've been screwed by gopher before, another misleading call like I recently received trying to get me back on and the commerce commission will be my next point of call. You seem like a straight up guy so I hope my point lands with you.

Thanks for the feedback Pete. We do have a very different approach to doing business which is based on how we perform for clients i.e. retention. If the results are there then we'll grow on a base of happy customers, if they're not then we won't. Fixing client churn has been our top priority which is why we've invested pretty heavily in replacing all of the old systems specifically our adwords management software. Customers are generally happy if they get results, so that's where all our effort has been targeted.

To your point though, if you can provide me with some more details on the call you received I'll definitely look into it.

I am struggling to get hold of anybody from all of these shady businesses Gopher/saturn6/Pattern. I am currently looking filing a complaint with the commerce commission regarding their activities. Why are none of Rowans email addresses no longer active?

As a previous employee and share holder in Gopher NZ LTD I can only advice that you avoid dealing with this company at all cost's.

I was made redundant from Gopher NZ LTD illegally and due to the company doing a corrupt deal with it's new owners I was unable to get my investment back or seek compensation for unfair dismissal.

I thought the likes of BJ Sveistrup and John Campbell (Gopher founder's) were friends and people I could trust. They persuaded me to invest in the company whilst they were under financial difficulty with the promise that the company would be sold but this never eventuated.

I worked there for 5 years and if they are willing to treat me this way then you can only imagine how they treated their customers. I saw first hand the inappropriate manner in which the customers were treated.

The company has changed name and they have reduced staff right down to a skeleton staff. New Zealand isn't short of digital advertising agencies so do your research and find a company you can trust.

A leopard doesn't change it's spots and the new owners knew exactly what they were buying into.

As per my Investment contract I should have been paid back my initial investment as soon as I was made redundant and wasn't even contacted as a creditor to make a claim when they were liquidated 6 months later.

Gopher NZ LTD, Saturn 6 or Pattern have some explaining to do and some money to pay back.

I can go into this A LOT more but I feel this is adequate enough as an introduction.

I am currently going through this exact situation.

Having cancelled my account with the now pattern digital, the company continued to charge for services on longer required.
I am now being threatened with debt collection on unpaid invoices for services I had cancelled. This company is made up of a bunch of bullies, who are not upfront with their invoicing and services, and don't offer any form of report or account breakdown even when requested.

Jasmine that's not really fair, I've been kept fully briefed on your account for the past couple of months and as you're aware we've already credited you for over $900 worth of invoices.

The only invoice we are now wanting payment for dates back to April, our very first month, and which you've promised to pay on a number of occasions. We definitely do not bully customers, however if we reach the end of the road in terms of debt collection then we don't really have much choice but to pass onto Baycorp.

If I've got any of the above wrong, please contact me and I will resolve it.

Really Rowan?

You have had my contact details for months and not once made contact to try and resolve this as the new director of this company.
Instead you have hidden behind Christina McKee Wright and resorted to threats of debt collection. Debt collection for a service you (or Saturn 6) never fully supplied? For a service i had tried to cancel? - This sounds fair.

Is it unfair to request a break down of the accounts? And regular updates on the ad words spend?
Is it unfair to expect my Ad words spend to be spent on Ad words? Where has the rest of my allocated spend gone every month?
I had an allocated amount each month and this was never fully spent instead you directed the remaining amount to account management which was never discussed or disclosed. You are not running this company any differently from previously, you are just as much a bully and this company is still deceitful, misleading and corrupt.

If i had of known any of this information prior i would never have engaged the services of Pattern Digital, or Saturn 6.

Hi Jasmine, Christina is our financial controller so it's appropriate for her to have dealt with this. Your contract was transferred to us from Saturn 6 and we supplied services as per your contract with them, this does include a management fee which should have been disclosed to you when you signed up with Saturn 6. However I do suggest we take this offline as I've already responded to Simon on this issue with an offer to resolve.

After starting at my new job , I was getting these overdue invoices from saturn 6 / Pattern Digital.After many emails and phone calls not been returned I stopped paying the account and looked into it more. We had paid our yearly quota, in four separate but was still getting harassed for further payments. Not 1 person could verify what we were paying for and why there were so many invoices getting sent thru. I have re chased this up and unless we pay more they can't keep advertising for us , even tho we have paid up in full plus more . I wouldn't recommend this company at all.

I believe con man Dean Alexander from AGM digital acquired this scam digital marketing company. Stay away from this company and any other business that has his name on it.
Dean Alexander is a convicted criminal aka Dean Artmanni was his original name before he changed it after his criminal convictions went public. Plenty of dirt online if you google this name.
