Refused to pay money when selling boat on behalf
I left my boat with Edenham Developments to sell my boat on my behalf. After 15 months later and many visits to see what was happening they phoned to say that they had sold my boat but with the outboard. They would have a cheque waiting for me for $3,000 to pick up when next passing. When I went to pick up cheque they made some excuse about the finance for the boat hadnt gone thru and that they would put it in my bank within the week. fter many phone calls we received a cheque in the mail. Hence to say that his cheque bounced and after many ph calls we received in our bank $2,000 not the $3,000 as promised. They kept assuring us that they would put the balance into the account. We final went to a Debt collector - after many ph calls from them to Edenham Developments they phoned us to say that we could pick up the outboard motor that he hadnt sold (We had asked previously that we would take back our motor but were told that this had been sold and the money would be in our bank that night). We picked up our motor and discovered when we got it home that parts were missing off it and that it doesnt go (when it was in good working order when we left it with them). We have now taken the motor in to be fixed and instead of getting $3500 for our boat and motor we are now out of pocket.
Thumbs down 1 time
